MIP Presents English Books about Russia's Aggression in Donbas, Crimean Occupation
On 8 July 2019, a presentation of English books printed out with the support of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
“Each book is symbolic. Each book contains within itself a lot of people, stories, tears and happiness, war and peace. The books include unique guides for foreigners about the beauty of Ukraine and Ukrainians and books about Russia’s aggression in the Donbas and occupation of Crimea, about real crimes and tragedies that their authors have experienced,” said Emine Dzhaparova, the First Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine.
The books presented included those by Mykola Semena and Stanislav Asieiev, “People of the ‘Grey Zone’” by Olena Khalimon and Anna Andriievska, “Dumpster” by Serhii Zakharov, and others.
The presentation was designed to tell impartial and credible information about Ukraine; Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine; political prisoners, or prisoners of the Kremlin, who are being forcibly detained in remand prisons in the Russian Federation and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine with no legal grounds therefor; the tragic moments of the history of the Crimean Tatar people; and other events necessary for understanding Ukraine’s history.
