MIP: Conference on State Information Security Held in Kyiv
On 4 April 2019, the X International Academic Workshop “Current Issues of Managing State Information Security,” organised by the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine with the support of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, was held in Kyiv.
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, Artem Bidenko, made a welcoming speech, noting that protection of the security of the state in the information field is one of the priorities of Ukraine’s state policy. “In the context of armed aggression against Ukraine, introducing effective mechanisms of countering information aggression are of special importance,” the State Secretary was quoted as saying.
Participants of the panel discussions spoke of protection of the information space; the establishment of Ukraine’s cybersecurity system; the improvement of national legislation with regard to protection of classified and proprietary information; international cooperation in the field of ensuring information security; the enhancement of higher education of state information security specialists; and priorities of Ukraine’s legislative activities relating to the protection of classified and proprietary information.
