MIP in JFO Zone: In Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka Settlement Council, Only Ukrainian Channels Available
The Monitoring Mission of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine has analysed television and radio broadcasting in the Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka settlement council, the Donetsk region.
“Although the contact line is close, there are only Ukrainian TV channels and radio stations available,” reports Oleksandr Bryhynets, the Adviser to the Minister of Information Policy on Broadcasting Renewal and Ukraine’s MP, who heads the Mission.
According to Oleksandr Svitlenko, the head of the settlement council, the settlement has cable Internet access, so many residents watch and read news online. In addition, the majority of people in Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka have satellite or digital television.
It should be noted that during the work of the Commission on Ensuring the Stable Broadcasting of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting System of Ukraine, three television towers have been constructed: in Kramatorsk, the Donetsk region (5 December 2016), in Chonhar, the Kherson region (17 March 2017),
