MIP: Photo Exhibition about Ukraine Being Held at One of Largest Business Centres in Tokyo
On 26 September 2018, “Ukraine -- Unique and Diverse”, a photo exhibition about Ukraine, was launched at World Trade Center Building, one of the largest business centres in Tokyo, Japan.
The project, held on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the Ukraine’s independence and supported by the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, was carried out by the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan in cooperation with the Minato Ward administration and Ukrinform news agency.
“We have selected the best Ukrinform photos the agency has ever issued, and sent them to Japan for them to be printed out. These photos brilliantly reflect the uniqueness and diversity of our country,” the Adviser to the Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine on International Communication, Maryna Sobotiuk, was quoted as saying.
“We hope that, thanks to the exhibition, our friends in Japan will be able to discover the attractions of our country, and visit it in the nearest future,” says Ihor Kharchenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine.
The inauguration of the exhibition was attended by the officials of the Minato Ward administration, Tokyo, the World Trade Center Building Management, members of the Ukrainian Diaspora in Japan, Japanese students and lecturers, the staff of the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan, and members of the Japanese public.
“Ukraine -- Unique and Diverse” is one of the large-scale campaigns for promoting Ukraine’s positive image in Japan. Dozens of thousands of people are expected to attend the exhibition, which lasts from 26 September till 31 October.
