MIP: On 15 September, Tvoia Kraina Fest, a Ukrainian Music Festival, Takes Place in Mukachevo

On 15 September 2018, Tvoia Kraina Fest, a Ukrainian music festival, will take place in Victory Park in Mukachevo with the support of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine. The event is set to begin at 6:00pm.

The bands “Mandry”, “Antytila”, GrozovSka Band, Mariia Burmaka and Gypsy Lyre will sing their songs for residents of and visitors to the town.

“The last concert of the festival took place in Konotop, close to the border with Russia. Now we are heading for Mukachevo -- to the border with Hungary. Our country is large, and good Ukrainian music should be heard everywhere, in all its corners,” Serhiy Fomenko (Foma), frontman of the band “Mandry”, was quoted as saying.

The Mukacheve concert will be the fifth to be held within the framework of Tvoia Kraina Fest, with the previous four having taken place in Izmail, Henichesk, Mariupol and Konotop.

“Our festival gathers thousands of people, who leave it singing Ukrainian songs and chanting Ukrainian mottos. We want, through such festivals, to foster the love of Ukrainian music, the Ukrainian language, and unite all Ukrainians around their culture,” the Adviser to the Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine, Maryna Sobotiuk, was quoted as saying.

On 8 September 2018, Tvoia Kraina Fest, a Ukrainian music festival, took place in Konotop, Sumy Region, with the support of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine. On 24 August 2018, Tvoia Kraina Fest took place in frontline Mariupol, Donetsk Region. On 11 August 2018, Tvoia Kraina Fest took place in Izmail (Odesa Region, border with Romania); on 18 August, in Henichesk, close to the administrative border with occupied Crimea.

On 22 September, the festival takes place in Novoselyshche (Chernivtsi Region, bordering Romania and Moldova); on 29 September, Sarny (Rivne Region, bordering Belarus).

Tvoia Kraina Fest is mostly designed to bring good modern Ukrainian music to the remotest corners of Ukraine, which artists often miss out in their tours.
