Bidenko: Ukraine NOW Brand Should Become "Face of Ukraine" in Global Markets
On 7 September 2018, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, Artem Bidenko, spoke at the 3rd Creative Industries Forum, held at the Olympic National Sports Complex in Kyiv.
At the panel discussion titled “Branding and Positioning of the Country -- What Else Is Wrong?”, Mr Bidenko spoke about the opportunities the use of Ukraine NOW, the single brand, opens for promoting Ukrainian goods and services on international markets.
“There are large tourism, investment, export, and education markets, which Ukraine is gradually entering as a full-fledged actor. And not having our own face, not having the single voice, we lose. What we are trying to do now with the Ukraine NOW brand is enter the markets with the single wrap, with the single image of the product,” he noted.
The panel discussion was also attended by Iryna Kuznietsova, official representative of Cannes Lions in Ukraine, director at DIALLA Communications Group; Tetiana Zhdanova, chair of the working group of the project “Ukraine’s Touristic Brand” in 2013-2014, coordinator at the project “New Mythology of Ukraine”; Pavlo Vržešč, co-owner and creative director of Banda Agency; Dmytro Barsukov, СЕО Young & Rubicam Ukraine.
Earlier, on 3 September 2018, a forum titled “The Prospects of Ukraine NOW Branding in Creative Industry Projects”, organised by the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Fashion Week team, took place at Mystetskyi Arsenal in Kyiv.
On 10 May 2018, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved Ukraine NOW, a brand designed by Banda Agency within the framework of the Commission for Promotion of Ukraine in the World under the Ministry of Information Policy.
