MIP Representatives Visit Luhansk Region As Part of "The Chronicles of Ukrainian Donbas" Educational Campaign
During 28-31 May, representatives of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine and All-Ukrainian Initiative, an NGO, paid a working visit to the Luhansk region within the framework of “The Chronicles of Ukrainian Donbas,” an educational campaign on the history of eastern Ukraine.
The visit included the presentation of the book “The Chronicles of Ukrainian Donbas. Donbas during the 1917-1921 War of Independence,” books printed out for eastern Ukraine with the Ministry’s support, and documentary videoclips on Semen Loshchenko, a hero of the Battle of Kruty; Mykola Cherniavskyi, a classic of Ukrainian literature; and the phenomenon of Executed Renaissance in Donbas.
The events were attended by Viktor Lytvinov, Head of the Sector for Information Reintegration of Crimea and Donbas; Mariia Lifterova, head of the book programme of the Ministry; Yurii Kosenko, Chair of the Board, All-Ukrainian Initiative; Oleh Yakubov, head of the Luhansk branch of All-Ukrainian Initiative; members of the public; educators; librarians; and officers of the civil and military cooperation group of the North task force.
The events took place at Luhansk Regional Museum of Local History in Starobilsk, the Siverskyi Donets Crisis Media Centre in Sievierodonetsk; the Central City Library in Lysychansk; and the Central Library in Svatove.
