MIP's Educational Projects: Meetings with Students of Chernivtsk Universities Held

On 21-22 May 2019, students of Chernivtsi universities met with Volodymyr Zhemchuhov, Adviser to the Minister of Information Policy and Hero of Ukraine, and Artem Bidenko, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine.

The meetings were held within the framework of the educational project “Prisoners of the Kremlin”, aimed at national and patriotic education of young people.

“Now we face the task of expanding educational projects, talking to young people, and the truth is that our army defends not only Ukraine but the whole of Europe from the aggressor. There is a necessity to speak about how this war is going on, what is really happening, and we try to do this in whatever form we can—from printing out soldiers’ and officers’ memoirs of the war to personal communication,” the State Secretary of the Ministry was quoted as saying.

On May 21st, Mr Zhemchuhov and Mr Bidenko took part in a press conference at the Chernihiv regional state administration, and met with students of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.

On May 22nd, they met with students of Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and of Bukovinian State Medical University.

“We have to realise that Russian aggression against Ukraine has led to the strengthening of the Ukrainian army, the consolidation of the Ukrainian people against the common enemy, and the rise of the volunteers movement. Ukraine and Ukrainians have begun to be identified in the international arena,” Mr Zhemchuhov told the students.

“Prisoners of the Kremlin”, a film produced by UA/TV international broadcasting channel by the order of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, was presented to the students.

At the end of the meetings, the participants were given information materials produced with the Ministry’s support.
