MIP in JFO Zone: In Tytarivka Village Council, Ukrainian TV Channels Available in Digital Network
The Monitoring Mission of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine has analysed television and radio broadcasting in the Tytarivka village council of the Starobilsk district, the Luhansk region.
“The landscape is complicated, and the village is located on the lowland. Therefore satellite and T2 [digital television] are the key means of receiving TV signal,” reports Oleksandr Bryhynets, the Adviser to the Minister of Information Policy on Broadcasting Renewal and Ukraine’s MP, who heads the Mission.
According to Liubov Ovsianik, the head of the village council, in April 2016 the village was connected to cable Internet, and many villagers watch Internet TV.
It should be noted that during the work of the Commission on Ensuring the Stable Broadcasting of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting System of Ukraine, three television towers have been constructed: in Kramatorsk, the Donetsk region (5 December 2016), in Chonhar, the Kherson region (17 March 2017), and in Bakhmutivka, the Luhansk region (22 August 2017).
