The film is available in three languages—Ukrainian, English, and Japanese.
“From now on, the youth can watch the film in an informal atmosphere with their foreign friends. And officials, government agencies and NGOs that represent Ukraine abroad now can inaugurate their events with the film,” said Maryna Sobotiuk, the Adviser to the Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine on International Communication.
Earlier, in October, “Djakuyu” was given a Special Awards prize at Zagreb Tourfilm Festival in Croatia.
“Djakuyu” was also awarded second place in the ‘Tourism Destination – Region’ nomination at the 11th International Tourism Film Festival ‘Tourfilm Riga 2018’ in Riga, Latvia. In April, “Djakuyu” won the ‘best editing’ nomination at the Romania-based monthly international film festival Short to the point.
“Djakuyu” shows Ukraine through the eyes of a Japanese tourist as an interesting, hospitable, and unique country with breathtaking landscapes and rich history. The film was produced by the Best Friends Film company by the order of the Ministry.
