MIP: ‘Ukraine-NATO Security Formula’ Exhibition Opened in Zaporizhia
On 5 June 2018, the moving exhibition ‘Ukraine-NATO. Security Formula’, organized with the support of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, was opened at the Zaporizhia Regional Youth Centre.
The exhibition was presented by Barbara Maronkova, the Director of the NATO Information and Documentation Centre, and Oleksandr Makobriy, chief specialist of the Sector for Strategic Communications of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine.
During a meeting with students on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition, Mr Makobriy spoke about the key areas of MIP’s activity, including in the field of information security, and stressed the need to debunk myths and stereotypes about NATO, imposed by Soviet and Russian propaganda.
The event was attended by Ella Slepian, Deputy Head of the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration; Artur Boyko, Head of the Department for Foreign Affairs and International Trade; Svitlana Rotaienko, Project Manager of the NATO Information and Documentation Centre; representatives of local authorities and public, students and lecturers at Zaporizian universities.
The exhibition ‘Ukraine-NATO. Security Formula’ is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Charter on a Distinctive Partnership between Ukraine and NATO. It was set up with the support of the NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Ukraine, the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Crisis Media Centre.
