MIP: ‘Ukraine-NATO. Security Formula’ Exhibition Opened in Kherson
On 21 May 2018, the exhibition ‘Ukraine-NATO. Security Formula’, organized with the support of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, was opened at Kherson State University. The exhibition was presented by Dmytro Zolotukhin. the Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine, and Viktorija Cieminyte, Deputy Director of the NATO Information and Documentation Centre.
In his opening remarks, Mr Zolotukhin noted: “Kherson is the tenth city where MIP together with the NATO Information and Documentation Centre presents this exhibition. The key aim is to convey information that NATO is not only military cooperation but also the resolution of challenges faced by humanity: fight against terrorism, settlement of disputes, and creating new opportunities for youth”.
Ms Cieminyte presented the materials of the exhibition and noted that it was an educational and information project relating not only to NATO but also to a wider context of global security.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Col Aleksejus Gazevskis, commander of a training regiment of the Armed Forces of Lithuania; Lt Col Mindaugas Babonas, Deputy Defence Attaché of the Lithuanian Republic; Andrii Hordieiev, Head of Kherson Regional State Administration; the leadership of Kherson State University; members of the public; and students.
The exhibition ‘Ukraine-NATO. Security Formula’ is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Charter on a Distinctive Partnership between Ukraine and NATO. It was set up with the support of the NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Ukraine, the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Crisis Media Centre.
