On 5 April 2018, exhibition Ukraine-NATO. Security Formula, organized with the support of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, was set out at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (Ivano Frankivsk).
Within the framework of the event, Barbara Maronkova, the Director of the NATO Information and Documentation Centre, and Oleksandr Makobrii, Chief Specialist of MIP’s Sector for Strategic Communications, told students, public officials, members of the general public and other visitors to the exhibition how to distinguish propaganda and not fall for manipulations amid information warfare.
“We all have to be conscious consumers of information, using analytical thinking, comparing sources, seeking to see through all those processes that are happening around. We need to understand that Ukraine’s integration with NATO is, first of all, the issue of the security of our state. And in the circumstances given, following the Euro-Atlantic path is a prerequisite for Ukraine’s serene future,” Makobrii stressed.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by Oleh Bilous, the Director of the NATO Scientific and Analytical Centre of Precarpathian University; Svitlana Rotaienko, Project Manager of the NATO Information and Documentation Centre; Ihor Pasichniak, Deputy Head of Ivano Frankivsk State Administration; Oleksandr Levytskyi, deputy mayor; and others.
