MIP in ATO Zone: After TV Tower at Karachun Restored, Ukrainian Channels in Cherkaske Tripled
The Monitoring Mission of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine has analyzed television and radio broadcasting in Cherkaske Settlement Council of Sloviansk District, Donetsk Region.
“In Cherkaske Settlement Council, 10 analogue channels are available in good quality, among which are Inter, New Channel, 1+1, 2+2, ICTV, Donetsk Regional Channel and International Sloviansk Channel,” reports Oleksandr Bryhynets, the Adviser to the Minister on Broadcasting Renewal in the ATO Zone and Ukraine’s MP, who heads the Mission.
Oleksii Kryvokon, the secretary of Cherkaske Settlement Council, assured: “The situation has improved drastically since the TV tower at Karachyn was restored. Before that, 2-4 analogue and digital channels had been available.”
Additional information. Cherkaske United Territorial Community in Sloviansk District is one of the first united communities which were created in Donetsk Region in 2015. Now it unites 11 neignbouring villages.
It should be noted that during two years of the work of the Commission on Ensuring the Stable Broadcasting of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting System of Ukraine, three television towers have been constructed: in Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast (5 December 2016), in Chonhar, Kherson Oblast (17 March 2017), and in Bakhmutivka, Luhansk Oblast (22 August 2017).
