MIP in ATO Zone: In Khrestyshche Village Council, Eight Ukrainian TV Channels Available
The Monitoring Mission of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine has analyzed TV and radio broadcasting in Khrestyshche village council of Sloviansk district, Donetsk region.
“In Khrestyshche village council, eight Ukrainian TV channels are available. The local residents prefer T2 digital television since it has high quality now and broadcasts a large number of channels. After a TV tower on Mount Karachun was reconstructed, the quality of signal has improved and interference has been reduced,” reports Oleksandr Bryhynets, Adviser to the Ministry on Broadcasting Renewal in the ATO Zone and Ukraine’s MP, heading the Mission.
Serhiy Chevela, head of Khrestyshche village council, said the villagers were upset about the unavailability of the local regional TV channel.
It should be noted that during two years of the work of the Commission on Ensuring the Stable Broadcasting of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting System of Ukraine, three television towers have been constructed: in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region (5 December 2016), in Chonhar, Kherson region (17 March 2017), and in Bakhmutivka, Luhansk region (22 August 2017).
