MIP in ATO Area: In Polovynkyne Village Council, 10 Ukrainian TV Channels Available

The Monitoring Mission of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine has analyzed TV and radio broadcasting in Polovynkyne village council of Starobilsk district, Luhansk region.

“In Polovynkyne village council, ten Ukrainian television channels are available,” reports Oleksandr Bryhynets, Adviser to the Ministry on Broadcasting Renewal in the ATO Zone, heading the Monitoring Mission.

Anzhela Serhiienko, the head of the village council, said that satellite television, T2 digital television and analogue TV are equally present in the households. “The quality of the signal is improving, the number of Ukrainian channels is increasing, but the residents are still complaining about the lack of Ukrainian TV,” said Serhiienko.

It should be noted that during two years of the work of the Commission on Ensuring the Stable Broadcasting of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting System of Ukraine, three television towers have been constructed: in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region (5 December 2016), in Chonhar, Kherson region (17 March 2017), and in Bakhmutivka, Luhansk region (22 August 2017).
