Crimea Is Ukraine: ‘The 100th Anniversary of the First Kurultai – the National Assembly of the Crimean Tatar People’
Within the framework of the national campaign ‘Crimea Is Ukraine” the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine presents the communication campaign, namely board stories for outdoor advertising platforms and a public social video ad under the common title ‘The 100th Anniversary of the First Kurultai – the National Assembly of the Crimean Tatar People.’
The campaign includes thematic billboards and citylights on outdoor advertising platforms all over Ukraine. The video clip, as a public social ad, will be broadcast on national and regional television.
The foundation of the current Kurultai is not only the years-long historical legacy of democratic government but also experience in creating national statehood in 1917.
The first Kurultai meeting was held in December 1917, where issues of the state system in Crimea, relations of the Crimean Tatars with other nationalities in the peninsula, the national government policy, working out laws on various fields of Crimean Tatar social life, carrying out fundamental reforms.
In 2017, the 100th anniversary of the first Kurultai, the national assembly of the Crimean Tatars, is celebrated, which is a significant event for all Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians.
