Commemorating the Holodomor Remembrance Day
The Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine has printed out and is distributing boards and citylights all over Ukraine on the occasion of the 1932-1933 Holodomor Remembrance Day.
In 1932-1933, Ukraine suffered a gruesome tragedy, the Holodomor, which took millions of human lives.
Every Ukrainian knows that the Holodomor in Ukraine was man-made, that food was forcibly taken from people. This horror lasted for 17 months, during which nearly 4ml people died (according to some estimates, 12ml).
According to Decrees No. 1310/98 by President Kuchma and No. 431/2007 by President Yushchenko, every fourth Saturday of November is commemorated as the Holodomor Remembrance Day.
Lit a candle to honour the memory of millions of those who died in that horrific tragedy.
