MIP: Ukraine's Brand Shaped by Every Ukrainian
On October 6, the Ukrainian Government Communications Experts Forum #OneVoice opened for the second time in Kyiv.
The event assembled communication specialists from state bodies both at the central and the regional level.
The aim is to increase the effectiveness of the work of press secretaries within the One Voice Strategy.
Opening the event, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman said: “Openness and the dialogue of the society and the government by means of communication platforms and communication specialists is a prerequisite for the success of the transformations going on now in Ukraine.”
MIP’s State Secretary Artem Bidenko spoke of Ukraine’s brand and what it would be like.
“The brand must be shaped by Ukrainians themselves. That is why, with regard to the decision of the Interagency Working Commission on Popularizing Ukraine in the World, we have announced the competition for the creation of the brand book. Anyone can suggest an idea, we will choose the best one and give effect to it.
“I urge you as communication specialists to literally sell Ukraine and promote it as well,” Bidenko said.
The Forum featured a special guest, Executive Director for Government Communications of the UK Alex Aiken, who accepted the invitation of the One Voice team to attend the event.
Jaume Duch, Director-General of Communication of the European Parliament, also sent his greetings to the participants of the Forum.
Pending the event, the Prime Minister was also informed of the issue of education in the field.
It should be recalled that MIP proposes introducing the Communication Studies specialty into the list of branches of knowledge and specialties for the training of students of higher education.
