MIP's Communication Campaign "Three Peoples, One Root"

As part of the national communication campaign "Crimea is Ukraine", the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine presents its billboard campaign for outdoor advertising media as well as social video clips titled "Three Peoples, One Root", dedicated to August 9, the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples.

The campaign includes placing a number of thematic billboards and citylights on outdoor advertising media throughout Ukraine.

It should be noted that the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, which is celebrated in the first quarter of August, appeared in 1994 at the UN General Assembly's initiative. It is dedicated to the issues of preserving indigenous peoples on the planet, protecting their rights, the richness of their culture and heritage.

Since 2014, Ukraine has been demonstrating a democratic practice toward its indigenous peoples – the Karaites, the Krymchaks, and the Crimean Tatars – by acceding to the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (together with Canada), a move highly welcomed by the world.
