D. Zolotukhin: "International organizations should be more active about hostages in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts and the RF"
15 March, a press conference "Pressure on Ukraine through hostages in an aspect of a hybrid confrontation" with the participation of the Deputy Minister of information policy of Ukraine Dmytro Zolotukhin took place at the IA "Urkinform".
Dmytro Zolotukhin stated: "In my view, in a situation where the Ukrainian state has no influence on the terrorist organizations "LPR" and "DPR", as well as on the Kremlin, one of the main levers that can be used in the area of the releasing of hostages is the work of international organizations, organizations of human rights protection. Taking this opportunity, I would like to publicly appeal to such organizations as Amnesty International and Freedom House, and other human rights organizations, to intensify their work on the direct facts of human rights violations in the territories called "DPR" and "LPR", as well as on the territory of the Russian Federation.
He added that the Ukrainian government in cooperation with volunteer organizations, in particular, the "InformNapalm' and "Stopteror", is intensifying work on the collection of evidence on this topic, which could be used in the future by international organizations.
Participants of the event: Dmytro Zolotukhin - Deputy Minister of information policy of Ukraine; Denys Bohush – expert of Centre for Russian Studies; Oleh Pokalchuk - social psychologist; Dmytro Tymchuk – MP of Ukraine, military expert; Victor Trehubov – moderator of event, chief editor of "Petr and Mazepa"; Mykola Kolesnyk – volunteer.
