MIP: Plan of activities for February 26th - the Day of resistance to the Crimean occupation by the Russian Federation was presented

21 February, a press conference dedicated to the presentation of the plan of activities for February 26th - the Day of resistance to the Crimean occupation by the Russian Federation was held at the news agency "Ukrinform".

First Deputy Minister of information policy of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova said: "The Day of resistance to the Crimean occupation by the Russian Federation is a powerful expression of resistance, the nonviolent civil act of rejection Russian reality on 26 February 2014. On the third anniversary of the occupation we, unfortunately, confirm that the situation is not improving - the repressions continue. The Russian propaganda is trying to discredit Ukraine as non-state with subhuman, who forgot about Crimea and the Crimeans. In order for Ukrainians to know that civil resistance in Crimea has been and is still ongoing, we are launching a communications campaign under the slogan "Crimea is Ukraine", "Forever together" and "Resistance continues", which will be presented on Thursday, 23 February", - said Emine Dzhaparova.

Refat Chubarov, the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people said: "All our planned measures aim to support people who are constantly living under the occupation of the Crimea". The Chairman of the Mejlis called on all people of Kyiv to join the Unity Marsh on 26 February that will take place at the alley of Heroes Heavenly Hundreds.

During the press conference it was also announced the holding of the International forum "Crimea under occupation: consequences for Ukraine and the world", which will be held on February 25-26; a telethon on the ATR channel to the International day of mother language and to the day of the death of Noman Celebicihan, who is one of the founders of the first Kurultai; the Day of the Crimea in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, during which a hearing of laws on the Crimean theme will be held, and a report on the investigation of the events of February 26 2014 will be presented; charity festival-fair "Helping hand", the proceeds of which will go to help children of the Crimean political prisoners, and the like.

The event was attended by: Emine Dzhaparova - the First Deputy Minister of information policy of Ukraine; Refat Chubarov the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people; Kateryna Litvinchova - a community manager of the network "Global Ukrainians".
