80% of the territory of Luhansk and Donetsk are covered with Ukrainian broadcasting - Yurii Stets

Eighty percent of the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities in Donbas is covered with a signal of the Ukrainian TV and radio channels. The Minister of information policy of Ukraine Yurii Stets made a comment about this on Radio "Donbas.Realities". He also noted that, in addition to controlled areas, uncontrolled territories are also partially covered with Ukrainian broadcasting. In particular, the signal is present in occupied Horlivka and Donetsk.

"Whatever people say that it's not true, there is already video evidence. Yes, people can see and hear the Ukrainian TV channels and radio stations there", - said Yurii Stets.

The Minister also noted that the jamming of separatist media signal from uncontrolled by Kyiv territories of Donbas, as well as the renewal of the Ukrainian broadcasting, is the priority to the Ministry.

"I will raise this issue at meetings of the military cabinet and the National Security and Defense Council. We are, after all, have to do not only activities that deal with the direct work of the Ministry of information policy, namely, to restore the Ukrainian broadcasting, but also to actively jamming the signal of TV channels and radio stations of separatist groups "LPR" and "DPR". I will not allow the power structures to avoid this issue", - the Minister said.

On 3 March, the leader of the group "DPR" Oleksandr Zakharchenko said that the separatist TV and radio channels extended their broadcast to a number of Ukrainian regions. According to the websites of the militants, it was said about broadcasting in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

Radio "Donbas.Realities" is a project of the Ukrainian editorial office of Radio Liberty that delivers the news and analysis from both sides of the demarcation line. Radio "Donbas.Realities" broadcasts in Mariupol on a frequency of 88 FM, Avdiivka 95.7 FM, Bahmut 87.9 FM, Volnovakha 100,3 FM, Schastya 88 FM, Mariinka 95,3 FM, Sloviansk and Kramatorsk FM 90.4, Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk and Rubizhne 88,2 FM, as well as live on "Hromadske radio" from 19:00 to 20:00 and radio "Pulse" from 6:10 to 07:00.
